Miris Blend Édition Premier Blanc Non Alcoholic 750ml

Miris Blend Édition Premier Blanc is a complex, aromatic alcohol-free white wine made from a distinctive blend of Riesling, Muscat, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes grown across different sub-regions of Germany’s Palatinate (Pfalz). The wine opens with a light lemon colour and an expressive nose of sea breeze, flowers and fresh citrus, leading into flavours of elderflower, lemon and gooseberry. Lively acidity and concentrated flavours are balanced by an off-dry sweetness, giving the wine both freshness and depth before a long, mineral finish.

The grapes are grown in the Palatinate’s sunny, Mediterranean-influenced climate, with the Weinbiet mountain providing protection from extreme weather and daily fall winds helping create favourable temperature variations. Vineyards across the region offer a mix of dry, heat-retaining soils in the north and looser, calcareous soils in the south that retain water efficiently. Gentle pruning and limited yields are used to encourage greater concentration, while the September harvest begins with manual selection to remove unwanted bunches before machine harvesting.

In the winery, whole bunches are gently pressed before fermentation at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks, helping preserve the wine’s delicate floral and fruity aromas. The wine is then de-alcoholised at a specialist German facility using vacuum distillation at just 35°C and 60 mbar, followed by patented aroma recovery technology. The aromas separated during de-alcoholisation are captured and returned to the wine, helping retain a fuller spectrum of its original character while keeping the alcohol at just 0.2% ABV.

With its combination of aromatic intensity, pronounced acidity, subtle sweetness and mineral character, Édition Premier Blanc is a particularly expressive example of modern alcohol-free white wine. Its citrus and green notes make it especially well suited to seafood, fish, salads and Asian cuisine, while the balance of acidity and sweetness also works beautifully with spicy and chilli-hot dishes.
